← Creative reviewTwo occasions. One recognizable person.
The operator’s criticism of W45 was correct: identical clothing, pose, facial expression and surroundings made the pair read like a single photo with hair digitally extended. Matching identity is useful; copying the entire capture undermined the intended different-day story. W51 rebuilds the comparison from new photographs rather than modifying the earlier portrait.
On 2026-09-10, two fresh Foreplay discovery searches—“hair before after women” and “hair growth transformation”—returned 12 image-ad records each. A targeted georgiemane brand pull returned another 16 records ordered by longest running. The first 24 records contained 17 distinct image URLs; distinct URLs are not necessarily distinct creatives. Those 17 images and all 16 brand-pull images were viewed on contact sheets, with the four examples below inspected at full size. Several images repeat or closely resemble each other. The broad search also returned off-target lifestyle and medical-context material. This report uses the relevant comparison examples, not every returned record as a direct competitor benchmark.
The research establishes visible design practices only. Foreplay supplied no verified CTR, spend, CPA, ROAS or profitability for this analysis. Retrieval ordering is not proof that an ad wins. These four references are all from one advertiser, so this is a focused comparison study following the broader v4 multi-brand research, not a new market census.
Decision: preserve the same recognizable woman but photograph two clearly separate occasions. Left: grey shirt, cool bathroom light, downward discouraged glance, short uneven hair and visibly frayed ends. Right: sage shirt, warmer bedroom light, changed pose and a smile, long abundant waves. Neither side is an actual customer photograph. Both placement masters visibly identify the pair as AI-illustrated and not product results. No fabricated timeline or testimonial is supplied.

G07 · georgiemane — Dana K: separate occasions
This is the closest reference to the operator’s objection. The woman wears different black and pink shirts, and her hands and head are positioned differently as she holds her hair up. The room and camera framing vary. Identity carries across the pair without requiring identical pixels. The practical lesson is to repeat the individual and the inspection task, while allowing the ordinary changes that accompany another day. W51 changes shirt, pose, expression, room and lighting together. The left woman examines a damaged lock; the right presents her longer waves with a relaxed smile. The reference does not establish an emotional transformation, and W51’s expressions are our creative interpretation.

R13 · georgiemane — Ellys: comparable framing, changing context
Three rear views preserve a useful hair-length inspection angle while clothing, lighting and surroundings change. The upper half carries a long customer review; small white date labels sit directly on the photos. It is the changing photographic context, rather than a perfectly registered silhouette, that makes the sequence read as separate occasions. W51 keeps both portraits large and side by side, with enough torso visible to inspect the ends. We did not transfer the testimonial, dates, elapsed time or implied treatment evidence. The narrow labels below the photographs leave the hair itself unobstructed.

G03 · georgiemane — Kristy G: stable identity landmarks
These scalp and part photographs show recognizable brow and hair landmarks with a slight change in perspective. A similar room helps connect the photographs, while the outline around the pair and yellow date text organize the comparison. This is an inspection crop rather than a full emotional portrait. It shows that a credible pair does not need every background detail to change; the individual images simply need to look independently captured. For W51 the recognizable face and hair color are the identity anchors, while the expression, posture and clothing carry the different-day signal.

G08 · georgiemane — Kirsty C: ordinary visual inconsistency
The top-of-head photos vary in angle and clothing but retain recognizable white-door and blue-towel surroundings. Angled gold and pink week labels add color and an informal presentation. This is useful evidence against the assumption that an effective comparison requires a perfectly identical composition. Small inconsistencies make the separate captures legible. W51 uses restrained rose and green labels, a rose headline with an italic phrase, and a cream surround. The design borrows the distinction between the two views, not the reference’s week labels or density claims.
